Lake Tai, China

Taihu Hotel in Wuxi or the Lake Tai region of China, is simply wonderful. The hotel grounds are amazing–great for a nice morning or evening stroll. The hotel is located next to Lake Taihu–making for great views from your room! The best part of this hotel is their private villas. They have about eight villas which look like and operate like miniature hotels. They are truly beautiful. This is indeed the place to enjoy one or two relaxing evenings. Take a walk on the grounds, near the lake or simply read a book in the richly decorated library. FYI-the rooms have televisions in the bathrooms and the water is filtered. This hotel was truly a great find and even better, it's off the beaten track.
